Dr Sam Tayeb

After completing his MBBS at Flinders University in 2004, Dr Sam Tayeb attained his Fellowship in Cardiology from Royal Adelaide Hospital in 2011.

He has completed further studies in Clinical Ultrasound at Melbourne University in 2011 and 2012 and obtained the highest Australian certification in CT Coronary Angiogram (CTCA) in 2017. Sam is dedicated to staying at the forefront of multimodality cardiac imaging, ensuring his patients receive the highest level of diagnostic accuracy and comprehensive evaluations to guide their care.

During his career, Sam developed a strong passion for acute and perioperative medicine.  Recognising the importance of comprehensive patient care, he pursued a Masters in Perioperative Medicine from Monash University, completing this in 2022.  This additional qualification allows him to provide specialised care to patients throughout their entire surgical journey, ensuring optimal outcomes and reducing post-operative complications.

Most recently, Sam worked in Darwin where he travelled extensively to provide outreach Cardiology and General Medicine services to regional and remote communities.  He worked at The Royal Darwin and Darwin Private Hospitals in Cardiology, Perioperative Medicine, and General Medicine.

Sam is dedicated to empowering his patients to take control of their health and maximise their health span. He firmly believes in shared decision-making, where patients’ priorities and the latest scientific evidence guide the therapeutic relationship.  Sam ensures that each patient receives personalised attention and care, tailoring treatment plans to suit their individual needs and preferences.
