WA Cardiology

Keith Woollard is an interventional cardiologist focusing on coronary angioplasty and defibrillator implants.

He is a partner in WA Cardiology and consults at Murdoch, Bentley, Armadale, Geraldton, Rockingham, Mandurah and the Kimberley. He has appointments at St John of God Murdoch, Mount, Hollywood, Armadale and Peel Hospitals.

His MD thesis was based on ischaemic myocardium and he has published extensively. Recently he wrote the editorial on cardiac surgery and coronary angioplasty for the Medical Journal of Australia. He is an editor of the Gulf Heart Journal.

Dr Woollard was formerly state and national President of the AMA and is currently chair of the AMA Foundation which runs the Dr Yes campaign.

Keith retains a strong interest in the political dimension of healthcare. He is particularly proud of his wife Janet, a local MP who successfully introduced the Tobacco Control Act last year which further restricts smoking.
